Great interview and a very touching story about the inspiration behind this magazine. Watching the video on Kleibacker and reading about: “We’ve had designers whose skills and ideas were just beyond and could easily put to shame some of the best of Europe, but those designers are forgotten.”
I immediately thought of the 60s vintage dress and a coat I just bought last week, by another once prominent but now forgotten American designers. Somebody inherited a great estate from their grandmother and was ‘getting rid’ of the clothes through a fine vintage store. Those are magnificent pieces! How I wish I’d come across one of the Charles Kleibacker designs.
